KFRC has Biorepository/Biobank that stores biological samples of humans for clinical as well as for research purpose. Biobank has become an important resource in several medical research including genomics, cancers and personalized medicine. Biobank at KFRC capitalize on crucial patient samples for translational application. Presently biobank caters to the clinicians for storage of bone graft, blood vessels, lipoaspirates etc for transplantation and tissue samples including cancer. The operation of biobank at KFRC center is managed, under the criteria of safety, quality and efficiency. The sample receipt, processing, storage and subsequent transfer to clinicians or researchers, provided that these met all applicable ethical and legal requirements for such activities.
